Week 16 Highlights, Week 17 Printout

Dear parents and students,

Here's what happened this week:

  • Both classes read about Ernest Shackleton and his crew's expedition to the Antarctic. We were all amazed by their persistence and bravery.
  • For grammar, we finished Unit 11 about the present simple tense. The trickiest part of this grammar tense is subject and verb agreement. Remember, if the noun is singular (except for the pronoun 'you,') you must make the verb plural!
  • For math, we continued solve problems with fractions and mixed numbers.
  • For science, we started unit 17 about the different forms of energy.
If you are interested in doing the gift exchange, please make sure to prepare your gift soon because the part will be on next Friday!
