Week 14 Highlights and Week 15 Printout

 Hi everyone!

Whew! All of you must give yourselves a pat on the back for completing your English AND Chinese exams. What a triumph this is! Here's what happened this week:

  • We haven't started a new lesson in Journeys because I wanted students have enough time to prepare for their Chinese exams without worrying about taking their usual spelling test on Fridays.
  • Instead of doing Journeys, we spent more time writing a 4 paragraph persuasive essay. Students had to create a product to solve a problem that students currently face. Then, they had to write 4 paragraphs to persuade others to 'buy' their product.
  • For grammar, we started Unit 10 about present progressives.
  • For math, we started learning about fractions, mixed numbers, and simplifying fractions.
  • We also had a little small class party to celebrate the end of our 2nd mid-term exams.
We will resume our normal learning routine and schedule next week:
*Please note that all weekly quizzes will be moved to Thursdays in December due to Christmas and New Years events and holidays*
