Week 15 Highlights, Week 16 Printout, and CHRISTMAS GIFT EXCHANGE INFORMATION

 Dear parents and students,

Hope that you all had a wonderful week. Can you believe that Christmas will be coming up in 2 weeks? We'll be doing a gift exchange in class... If you do not wish to participate, that is totally fine! If you do, please make sure to follow the rules and instructions as shown below:

Anyways, here's what happened this week:

  • For Journeys , both classes read different stories for Lesson 12. The 402 class read a story about the devastating San Francisco Earthquake that happened in 1906. The 403 class read a little bit about the history of earth's geology and we learned that the earth's crust used to be 1 large piece (the Pangea) a long long time ago!
  • For writing, both classes wrote a 3-4 paragraph persuasive essay to persuade you (parents) to let them do something! They learned how to think win win and to come up with a compromise.
  • For math, we continued to work with fractions and mixed numbers.
  • We haven't gotten a chance to start science yet because we had to go watch a show at the theatre on Friday, so we missed almost all classes. However, don't worry! We'll start next week. So, take a look below to see what next week's classes will be like:
