Week 10 Highlights, Week 11 Printout, NO NOVEL

 Hi everyone!

Another seemingly normal week just went by and here's what happened:

  • Both classes read Lesson 9 Snake Hunt from their softcover Journeys books. We learned that snakes are cold-blooded and for that reason, they prefer to stay in warm environments. Also, did you know that only 400 out of 2500 snakes are venomous? So, that means that you don't have to worry! (Well, 16% of the time anyways).
  • Both classes finished a 4 paragraph essay about how to stay healthy and happy. I'm impressed of how much they know about being healthy.
  • For math, we learned how to find the perimeter of squares and rectangles. Remember that we add all sides for perimeter and we multiply the length and breadth for the area.
  • For science, we started unit 16 about forces.
  • For grammar, we finished unit 7 about possessive cases but we haven't taken a quiz yet because we will have a quiz on both unit 7 and 8 next week.

*THERE IS NO NOVEL THIS WEEK FOR BOTH CLASSES*
