Week 9 Highlights, Week 10 Printout, Novel Quiz

 Dear all,

I hope you all had a wonderful week. I'm pretty the students were thrilled to have a sugar feast. Anyways, here is what happened this week. Please enjoy the pictures below:

  • For Journeys, A class finished L8 "Me and Uncle Romie" from their hardcover books. B class finished "Summer in the City" from their softcover books.
  • For grammar, we finished unit 6 on some/any/no/ every and took a quiz. The golden rule is to only use some for affirmative (+) sentences and any for negative (-) and interrogative (?) sentences.
  • For Math, we learned  how to draw perpendicular/parallel line segments and we also learned about the properties of squares and rectangles
  • For science, we started to learn about the properties of water.
  • We didn't have time to do writing this week because they had their Halloween activity from 8:30-10:00am (see goofy pictures below).
